Construction & Build Quality

The Designer SL2 8.0 kW is built with a durable stainless steel outer shell and a rugged internal frame designed to withstand the humidity and heat cycles typical of frequent sauna use. The heating elements are fully enclosed and shielded by the rock bed, distributing heat evenly across the rocks rather than concentrating it at a single point, which produces a more balanced, authentic sauna atmosphere. The wall-mounted bracket system allows the heater to be securely fixed above bench height, keeping the unit out of the way of bathers while still ensuring rocks and heating elements are easily accessible for maintenance and rock replacement.

Heating Performance

At 8.0 kW, this is the highest-output model in the Designer SL2 series, designed specifically for larger sauna cabins between 250 and 425 cubic feet. The direct-contact rock design allows heat to transfer efficiently from the elements to the rocks, producing the intense, even heat and rich steam that Finnish saunas are known for.
