Description
The Harvia KIP Electric Sauna Heater is Harvia's classic Finnish wall-mounted sauna heater, available in three kilowatt sizes (4.5 kW, 6 kW, 8 kW) to fit residential sauna cabins from small two-person rooms up to large family installations. Tall, narrow stainless steel profile with a generous stone column on top, an integrated dial control panel (no external controller required), and a 1–8 hour programmable timer with 8-hour pre-set. Pick the Right kW for Your Cabin
Each KIP size is rated for a specific sauna cabin interior volume. Calculate your cabin volume as interior length × width × height. If the cabin includes a glass door or window, add roughly 25% to the calculated cubic footage to compensate for radiant heat loss.

Sauna Stones
Every KIP "Heater + Stones" package ships with one box of Harvia AC3000 standard sauna stones, olivine diabase, 5–10 cm size grade, 20 kg (44 lb) per box. AC3000 is the correct stone size for the KIP stone column. The smaller 5–10 cm size grade is preferred for the KIP's open-top stone bed because it packs more densely than the larger 10–15 cm AC3020 grade, giving you more thermal mass and more even löyly when water hits the stones. If you prefer to source stones locally, pick the "Heater Only" package; we also stock the stones separately.
Installation & Electrical Requirements
Every KIP requires a dedicated 240V 1-Phase circuit wired by a licensed electrician. Required amperage and wire gauge varies by kW, see the table at the top of this page. The KIP is UL Listed and must be installed per the included manual, local electrical code, and any applicable AHJ (authority having jurisdiction) inspection.
